I know pheilman but the reality is, we as a nation just can't afford to spend 500K on every person on every disease that they get as they get older. its just hard, economic reality. The equation should be, if the drug costs over some amt (5k?), then the individual has to pay for it out of pocket or something. Because $22K doses for drugs, and there are many of these, AIDS, hemophelia etc just can't be sustained. That is what is wrong with our system. We need to make some hard choices here.
