Both of us had better hope that the multiplier impact of tax cuts is greater than Krugman believes.

As I've read the arguments, the tax cuts have less multiplier effect than the safety net stuff, but both come online much quicker than, on average, the infrastructure stuff. That's one of the reasons for the logic of the structure.

Admittedly that's putting logic on political tradeoffs. But that doesn't necessarily make them bad.
