But you are counting all of the war spending which in fact is two wars and which has lasted going on 7 years now. This is the first year of the stimulus package and there will likely be more years worth of spending to add to the total which is what already nearing 3 Trillion if you include TARP. Why in the world do you want to compare it to the spending by Bush - which largely got us into this mess? I keep asking John how he expects to pay for all this. If excess spending and really low interest rates got us here - how is REALLY low interest rates and REALLY out of control spending going to get us out?
