This is what happens when you get the cheapest knockoff product.

Batteries shipping into the US have to have a saftey device which disconnects the battery in case it gets hit or overcharged.

I would bet this is a Litium polymer battry with no protection circuit.

So with one article and nobody to really find out the facts, they can paint a large broad brush on the entire cellphone industry.

I guess only the part about where it takes his head off is newsworthy.
