Recipe for Socialist Soup:
1. Get a bigger pot
2. Keeping adding more ingredients in proportion to recipe.
3. Keep stirring
4. Serve when ready.

Guess you're a socialist. <g>

When you operate in the socialist model--from each according to his ability, to each according to his need--individuals have an inherent disincentive to produce and add more ingredients. There's nothing in it for them. At some point it becomes worth their while to just eat what others produce until there are too many mouths for too few to feed. That is the fatal flaw in socialism. It can be mitigated for a while, in some societies more than in others, but it cannot be overcome except by force. At which point it's definitely no better than the neocons.
