So principled Maverick stands against wasteful spending don't apply in a crisis? Fine. We all have our price. Like the Bridge to Nowhere, perhaps she can be for this bill before she is against it later. I don't blame her. It might be a little tougher down the road being labeled the Maverick if she supports the current pork-filled bonanza. I am sure she thought of that. The voters in Alaska do want their cut. They were used to getting it with Ted Stevens. She is in a tough spot.
