Mohan,

I decided to ride through this mornings rally as well. I have similar opinions. Hope that we are both correct. If not ... another small loss that I can live with.

As you know I focus a lot on international issues. The one that puzzles me is the focus on Hong Kong. They have 118 billion in cash - they can get out of their problems and we certainly won't help them anyhow. Did you notice the 5.49% slide in South Korea last night and the 8.5% slide in Brazil yesterday. Brazil bounced this morning but has already given up the early gains and is sliding again. They don't have the cash - and our banks are very, very exposed in these cases. The currencies are also sliding. Their US $ denominated loans will come back to haunt them and us IMHO. I think at least some forward thinkers will notice this real soon and understand the implications to the banking sector.

Anyone know a site where I can get accurate chart for Brazil's currency. They change the name so often it's hard to keep track of it. The latest name, the real(sp?) is kind of cute. I know it's sliding from the regular yahoo reports but I need a longer term chart or data for a chart.

Another question: Anyone know how much if any margin is involved in Brazil's stock markets? They are sliding rather quickly this morning. I have the slide at over 3% today and over 10% in the last two days so far. Is this enough to trigger margin calls (that probably will not be met)? Citibank is a big lender in Brazil - someone from there should know -g-.

Mohan, I am seeing a good bounce off of one of my key support levels and am thinking of taking a profit. Any thoughts?
