if it has something to do with bush bashing, it may not apply to you but for others it does. By the way, the stalin reference had to do with the thread isolationists challenging every american fp postwar. Now i know vietnam was a disaster and i dont want to re-argue iraq but we did some things right over the 60+ years since WW2. Marshall plan is one. Truman doctrine and containment another. Korea was another place where we did what had to be done, while restraining our radicals from starting up a war with china or nuking someone else. And we paid a high price in korea no doubt, far higher than in iraq and for a very limited result.
I said it the other day. FP decision making is like baseball. Unfortunately 300 is a good BA so when you do get hits, you need RBIs---in short you need to be right on the big issues.
