It seems politicians are not ready to forgive politicians. Daschle suffered the same fate as Richardson. I would have expected Obama to remain silent and not say "he fully stands behind Daschle" as he did yesterday. It is bad enough that the vetting was not done well and most of the Transition team's attention was drawn towards Bill Clinton's foundation. But then I did not expect Obama to do what Bush did, which is "stand fully behind" those under a dark cloud.
