The wife of a good friend of mine just left the law to become a public school teacher in her early 50s. Why??? The pay is better and job is 9-5 with summers off. There is some trade-off in stress levels - leaving high pressure clients/partners for screaming kids and parents.

do you know if engineers receive overtime pay beyond their salary? if not, they are indeed underpaid in california.

what is an appropriate salary for a college degree? big question that.
