when you are looking to buy a large appliance etc. do not think locally... think nationally. for example. i bought my whole house generator on the web.. $2300 delivered with control box, extra oil, filter for next year change over. box all prewired. local sell them for $2700 without extra box plus delivery.. the weight over 500 lbs. i bought my pc on dell, free shipping, reconditioned. i bought my sony tv from sony in calf. free delivery and discount cheaper than local stores .. again same models. i bought dvd's speakers, etc.. how about toilets,, delivered free, price well below any local distributor. looking for a car start out on ebay. or edmunds. not your local dealer. oh, all those items i bought i avoided pa state sales tax. we have only one local lumber yard left in our area. the rest all closed , cannot compete with lowes or home depot prices. you can buy refrigerators on line, get delivered and set up. same with other applicances..
