Interesting that the downgrade happened at about the same time that the Kyrgystan base allowing easy US access to Afghanistan is 'closed.' Medved at the announcement. We all know that Obama has a special place in his heart for Afghanistan. uk.reuters.com Tit-for-tat? Or just part of the negotiation for the rent? The downgrade, I know, of course, is not relatled to the Kyrgiz action and that it is probably coincidental, but what a huge coincidence because I think the downgrade indeed hurts. Your views appreciated.
