How Evil Can They Get?

By John
Power Line

Our enemies can sink to depths of depravity that most of us would be hard-pressed even to imagine. An Australian newspaper reports on the capture, in Iraq, of a 51-year-old woman named Samira Jassam who masterminded dozens of suicide attacks by Iraqi women:

<<< A woman suspected of recruiting more than 80 female suicide bombers has confessed to organising their rapes so she could later convince them that martyrdom was the only way to escape the shame. >>>

This is the kind of thing that makes me skeptical that the solution to the problem of Islamic terrorism is diplomacy.

Biden: There's 30 Percent Chance We'll Be Wrong

Mark Hemingway
The Corner

Joe Biden:

<<< The president and I were talking about something yesterday in the Oval Office — which, to the press here, I'll not suggest what it was — but the response was to the folks that were in the office with us — was, you know, if we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, we stand up there and we make really tough decisions, there's still a 30-percent chance we're going to get it wrong. >>>

UPDATE — a reader writes:

<<< Has Joe Biden become the political equivalent of Manny Ramirez? Nothing that the VP does even elicits a questioning look anymore; it’s just “Biden being Biden” much like “Manny being Manny”. >>>
