It is a resounding defeat for the liberal extremism that Pelosi, Reid and Obama had planned for us.

If we're lucky, they'll contain it at a half trillion of wasteful spending.

But the survey reflected deepening doubts about the effectiveness of the programs and spending items currently being considered by federal lawmakers. Only 38 percent of those polled favored the existing stimulus proposal, down from a slight majority holding that view in the Jan. 28 Gallup survey.

I think Obama's team is doing a fairly lousy job of selling this thing...all i see on TV is a parade of republicans picking away at the fringes trying to score cheap political points...CNBC, Morning Joe, Fox (of course)...all doing their part.

Ted, > The poll, conducted from Friday through Sunday, found that 75 percent of Americans want Congress to pass some version of the plan.

The unnamed fantasy version of the plan will always win over those being polled.

Yes 75% supported the idea of stimulus.

But only a minority supported the plan that actually passed in the house.
