"Now you want to be #1." I don't think you understand the implications of that. Indicates they are well on the road to becoming us. US uses 1/4 world's oil. If China becomes us, say in 10 years, US and China use 5/4ths the world's oil. If India gets brought along, 9/4ths the energy for 3 countries. So, as they go up, we go down. I don't care if we are #2, as long as China and Russia and India are 35-37, cuz that wouldn't rock our world. Ain't like that. It was a fun party, but we're at the point we're drunk we need to lie down and hold the ground to keep from flying off the face of the earth. == "because we sell to them" We can't meet their CAFE standards. Cuz having CAFE is bad for GM. What a hoot. We can build cars over there which meet their stds, but that helps us exactly how? Unless you own GM, but that helps you exactly how:>)?
