I say rooting per ted, and i know thats an overstatement but you are right, there is a kind of "gloat" in all his posts. And he does take sides and then gets passionate about it. Georgia war was a classic case. Most folks know both sides played fast and loose with the truth. With Ted, he almost said ich bin ein south ossetian as if south ossetia all of a sudden was more than a province in either russia or georgia. I wonder what ted's view on tibet is? On one hand china like russia is a US opponent of sorts and thus should be supported. OTOH, tibet is the cause du jour for hollywood so his buds might not be happy if he strayed from the party line.
