What a lie.

Bush did everything he COULD to bring the Dems into the process -- including giving them huge amounts of socialist spending without a fight -- but he was never given a chance.

You people hated him from day one because you believed, wrongly, that he didn't win the election. Even after it was proven he won fair-and-square, you still rejected him.

You have yourselves to blame for being marginalized for eight years.

I wish like hell Obama's socialism would be fought that hard. Unfortunately, the Rs in congress have neither the will nor the power to do it.

Yes you are right. He might very well take the unanimous vote in the house as a sign to play like bush did. IMHO that would be a mistake. To get the stimulus bill to get wider support nationally he needs to get a guy like mccain onboard. To do that, he has to offer something that both means something to republicans and that is stimulative and beneficial to the economy. I would like to see a senate bill that passes with 65-70 yes votes.
