After a record-tying mild day Wednesday, we are now heading back to more typical February weather. SEATAC hit 63, tying the record for that date. There were even warmer locations; including 68 in Kent, 65 in North Bend and 64 in Renton

We're in the temperate zone as well and yesterday the temp was 15deg...lots of leeway in that zone. Perfect weather for speed walking around an ice and snow covered lake(with at least 3 layers of clothing)---many times there are ice fishermen enjoying their cool sport atop the lake. In Jul/Aug the temp is often 90deg for the same hike...but for over 6mos of the yr the climate is indeed moderate, from 50-70deg.
