Husband of Rep. Solis, Labor nominee, settles tax liens

Sam Sayyad, the husband of Rep. Hilda Solis, D-Calif., President Obama's nominee to head the Department of Labor, has reportedly settled outstanding tax liens against his business, the administration reported.

As far as getting “information” from Playboy magazine, don’t make me laugh.

I don’t need to read books to know about such people.

Not that I say it is in any way commendable,

but I have known fairly well, and in some cases very well, people of that type since I was a kid.

So I will take my impressions first hand.

And Playboy’s ‘photos’ are so airbrushed they are more like paintings.

I remember when Jake LaMotta’s wife, age 50, posed for Playboy

and came out looking like she was more like 15 in the photos the magazine ran.

Then she came to my local city on a promotional tour for the magazine layout, and the photos in the local paper showed her as appearing closer to 100.
