RW, I quickly skimmed through that long article, but I didn't see much written about "The credit crunch according to Soros." Rather, it read like a biography.

Soros is hardly a forward-looking visionary, by the way. He predicted a global financial crisis, but so did a lot of people. Heck, even I wondered what could happen with all of the "free money" from refi's being handed out.

Instead, he himself admits that it's his wealth that gives him a global forum for his left-wing socialist views. Philanthropy for him is no different than that of any rich old man: You can't take your wealth with you to heaven (or wherever).

The credit crunch according to Soros

Recently, Sandy Weil, the ex CEO of Citi who helped run that bank into the ground, took his family on a vacation to Cabo. They used a Citi jet. Why do I bring this up? I bet Weil voted for Bush.......twice.
