We will disagree on the characterization of the spending, but the spending side was only part of the equation.

Bush was not good (in fact awful) on the revenue side.

Big increases in spending and huge reductions in revenues collected creates problems any way you look at it.

He had 8 years to balance spending against revenue collection. Tell me he did not do an awful job.
