A leader would separate the bill into two

Emanual of, never let a crisis go to waste, has Obama's ear. The way I look at things is if this were an actual red hot emergency, the only thing that would be in that bill is stimulus. But even there Obama is less than logical. If the GAO comes out and says that you could do serious damage with the stimulus in it's present form, worse than if you do nothing, the President should act.

Change was only a slogan and with only 34% approval on the bill from a recent poll

The only thing Obama is going to change is his residence in just short of 4 years.....<g> As far as I can tell the main reason for this bill is political payback, IMO alot of it shouldn't be an ANY bill, ever....

He could have made the right decision and looked like a star...

He most definitely could have. I thought when he started that he was going towards the moderate in order to set himself up to win in 2012. Then, in his second term he'd start with all his leftist programs but I guess he just can't wait....
