An important statement in this article.....its the differences between the US and Japan that will make all the difference. It was Japan's refusal to deal with its banking system, not their infrastructure program, that did them in. Gov't spending kept the country from going into a deep hole. Not dealing with the banking system kept the economy from expanding.
