That gets applause. I think I've found the problem and we are so hosed. So much for change.

Yes we are. It's going to be a very long 4 years.

"THE PRESIDENT: Then there's the argument, well, this is full of pet projects. When was the last time that we saw a bill of this magnitude move out with no earmarks in it? Not one. (Applause.)"

THE PRESIDENT: Then there's the argument, well, this is full of pet projects. When was the last time that we saw a bill of this magnitude move out with no earmarks in it? Not one. (Applause.)

Are Obama supporters so deluded that they are not offended by such a statement?

He's obviously using that clipped upspeak tone, dripping with derision when he says that. Kinda like when he said he didn't want his daughter "punished with a baby."

Well, Mr. President, we don't want our babies "punished with Dem pet projects" in perpetuity. If you want to transform the country, you'll have to comply with your campaign promises to allow public comment and permit the due process of law for evaluation of what you are trying to enact.

Of course, that won't work.
But you know that, right?
