I remember some of the wingnuts on this thread justifying Chimp's venture into Iraq because they'd violated some UN ceasefire agreements and/or UNSC resolutions. You can't use the UN to justify military interventions, if you disregard the treaties that ban other actions. But, the US is a rogue nation.
