I pretty much support your contention, or at least something similar to that. Our understanding of the economy and what would make it better is always imperfect, and now its probably worse than it normally is.

But "we don't know", only leads to the conclusion of "taking something from every section of the menu" if you rule out from the beginning that the menu selections could be harmful.

If you really don't know, then any particular selection may be a magic cure (at least a mild version its not going to cure everything totally), may be very healthy food, may be junk food, or may be poison (again a mild version, its not going to actually kill our economy, maybe just make it seriously sick).
