Doing nothing and allowing the free market to do it's thing is in my opinion a much worse option

You've created a ridiculous false dichotomy. There is light year of space between a government monopoly on health care and laissez faire.

Healthcare systems in my opinion is in a lot of ways much simpler than complex software systems.

I'd say they are massively more complex.

The law describing a health care system, will be less complex than a very complex piece of code (say Microsoft Vista, or Office). But the law isn't the system.

The full system has hundreds of millions of people interacting in complex, changing ways, each one of them making their own decisions, and having their own issues.

Health care is a large subset of the whole economy. Large economies are in my opinion, by far the most complex human creation ever devised.

And that is all anyone needs to know about you.

Obviously there is no answer that you will accept other than socialized medicine. Your opinion on the subject appears to be nothing but screaming about your opinion without considering anyone else's.
