Excellent observation , Midwest_Investor . Irregardless of weither an investor subscribes or follows Bob Brinker's advice , there are those who independantly choose to basicly buy and hold through stock market corrections and do as well as the market indices .

As with your own circumstance , I basicly follow a 50 / 50 asset allocation and have survived last year's losses and haven't changed my retirement life style .

MI, I find it's amazing what efforts some will go through to make Brinker 'look good', or 'not as bad'.

--LOL! They are doing exactly THAT right now on honey's SI board!!!

It's actually hilarious watching them twist, and turn and spin everything.

These people don't even realize they are not living in the real world!

>> I think the person who attacked Brinker should learn a little more about investing before he puts blame on a newsletter writer for losing money in a down market.<<

a newsletter that claims it is able to avoid bear markets.

it can't. this is the big kahuna and we could see the s&p below 500 this year and brinker is nothing more than a deer in the headlights without a clue how to proceed.

if he'd been recommending gold related stocks and TBT, he'd be doing great over the last two months.

i can't wait until brinker heads to washington for his "bailout." -lol-
