If this goes through, the whole dynamic for how Congress functions could shift to a new paradigm, one that undercuts those who are made at the moderates now.

Your point is spot on. There is little doubt that Obama could have handled this a little better - still, he will learn and I am confident he will bring some pragmatism to politics.

Was that you you chided me for "charismatic"? Just kidding!
