Ted, > Do you know that a majority of the economists say we need a stimulus plan?

B.S. Opinions on the economy and the possible remedies are as numerous as the number of economists out there.

Huh?

"While economists remain divided on the role of government generally, an overwhelming number from both parties are saying that a government stimulus package -- even a flawed one -- is urgently needed to help prevent a steeper slide in the economy.

And that includes both the qualified ones and the idiots who proclaim themselves to be.

Please don't make things up.

You're still stuck to the idea that anything is better than nothing. I strongly disagree.

No surprise. You normally disagree with things that go against your ideology. What you can't seem to accept is that your ideology is flawed and not working.

People who think that way will rush to an ill-conceived plan the same way Bush rushed into Iraq.

Hardly ill conceived. There has been an ungoing debate for weeks about the stimulus and we are a just a little over halfway through the process. If only the Iraq invasion had been discussed to this degree, it might not have happened. But of course, Bush/Cheney cut off that debate.

Only this time, it'll be our economy that becomes the quagmire, not some oil-soaked desert in foreign lands.

Damn, guy.....where the hell have you been? The American economy IS a quagmire. In fact, everything bush touched turned into a quagmire. He's good at that.
