Tell me though, every once in a while, when they announce something especially stupid that the gov't is doing, don't you get a twinge of vertigo?....

I've been looking for railings and other things to steady myself with ever since Nov. 4.

This bill has a fifth of a billion for grass at the Jefferson Memorial.

That was from Krauthammer's piece. How can they possibly spend that much money on something like that?

How do you possibly spend a half million on a dog park? Isn't a dog park, just a part of a park with a fence around it and a sign?

And Chula Vista, Calif., would like $500,000 to create a place for dogs to run off the leash.

Austin, Texas, could use $886,000 to build a 36-hole "disc golf" course, for frisbee tossing. It would be "environmentally and financially sustainable."

Unless that includes buying the land, how do they spend that kind of money on something like that? I'm guessing that "environmentally sustainable" means any job involved would be a "green job".

I have to believe there's a lot of that '$1000 for you, $1000 for me, and we hire the guy from Tennessee' going on.
