Jerry, on CnBC now,

talking about it....intc broke moving averages, TXN had been halted, ASMLF down l2 almost....

someone saying good values. ML says 98 lower but 99 higher. Kurlack not saying anything.

I always wonder what the "hurry" is in strategic downgrading. Near perfect day to downgrade and hurry up sell off. Maybe they have puts on the semi's.

Kurlack coming on now supposidly.....

Autumn

sometimes my reporting sounds like Maria........:)

Jerry,

Overvaluation is not just the only problem with the semis/semi equip makers, lowered demand is forecasted in 1998 and the current Hong Kong problem isn't helping either.

AMAT sells a lot of its equipment to the Far Eastern countries, economic problems there will put pressure on their revenues for the next few quarters. I think their eps in Nov will be fine but future forecasts won't be too exiciting.

Sold my LRCX puts this morning for a 150% profit, hard to get that these days. Keep an eye on NeoMagic (NMGC), they are in the same business as S3 but are doing much better. They have had great sequential revenue growth since they went public last year. I will
be buying the Dec 15s or 17-1/2s.

Regards,
Taqi
