And the most difficult stage in the process has yet to come. Assuming the Senate passes their version of the bill, both Senate and House bills go to a conference made up of both House and Senate members. Its at this point the differences are wheedled down. Its also at this point when the White House gets directly involved. This is when the real tweaking and fine tuning will occur. At the end, the bill should be a nice stimulus package. I think so also. The folks on the right won't admit that this is (ugly) government at work. But this is what it looks like. Yes, and like I said to Z, don't expect anywhere near perfection. Perfection is a bit of a luxury in a democracy. The Reps are lucky to have Obama... Bush would have taken the majority and run with it. Taken ideology over pragmatism Democracy is a process of consensus, not perfection. These folks need to understand that they have been given a gift. LOL. They are way to shallow and immature to admit such a thing.
