Re -- AMAT almost cut in half in two weeks

Seems to me those short sighted, incapable of an original thought analysts, do not realize that worldwide demand for semi conductors in general has not slowed down.

Saying that the Asian currency crises, would cause capital equipment spending to slow down, demonstrates their short sightedness.

So long as worldwide demand (the explosion of the internet) remains healthy, spending on capital equipment would continue. Anything else would cause more serious problems for the Asian countries.

"AMAT almost cut in half in two weeks"

AMAT split 2 for 1 in 10/13/97. Explains a lot, doesn't it.
