Tax credits for small business is a better way to "create wealth in this nation" than investing in infrastructure projects, said Steele, a former Maryland lieutenant governor. Instead of creating "sustainable jobs," he said, "what this administration is talking about is making work. It is creating work."

some folks are just goofy. it is creating work to fix a bridge that has been long neglected while it grew weaker and weaker? riiiiiiiiiight.

and if we give a tax break to a small biz, will that pave a road? or fix a crumbling school? not.

I do wish they would at least be honest in their objections. Even the repub gov of Alabama is saying that teachers will laid off (ergo class sizes increase) without help, and that there are dozens of schools here that need upgrading. At least can't the fed repubs say flat out that they just don't care if teachers are laid off and students hurt by that... that they don't care if schools are not fixed. drown the govt. Don't say it won't retain and create jobs.
