How can i ignore a made up thing that doesn't exist? If there isn't any naturally occuring information, then life didn't originate naturally. I assume you know life is based on information encoded in chemical bonds, just as information is encoded in software or books. --------------------We KNOW we (and our universe) had a beginning. How do we know that? It's possible the Big Bang is wrong. Okay, now you're rejecting a well established scientific concensus because you don't like the theological implications. ------------------- It's also possible that our universe has been expanding, collapsing on itself, then expanding again for eternity. Its possible that our universe will expand forever. Its possible it will collapse on itself. That question is open, though science is leaning toward the former. If it does the latter, one can suppose it will "bounce". Interesting you're willing to suggest ideas that you have no rational reason to think will happen. --------------------I'm asserting its reasonable to believe in God and not irrational to do so It's reasonable and rational to believe. Thank you. ------------------- But many of the arguments you make in support of your belief are neither. Support your assertion. -----------------Science does tell us our universe looks incredibly designed for life. This is more irrational stupidity. I suggest you write Discover and protest their publishing an article which states that explicitly: "Our universe is perfectly tailored for life. "discovermagazine.com While you're at it, write Paul Davies and tell him he's stupid and irrational: cosmos.asu.edu Cosmic Jackpot: Why Our Universe Is Just Right for Life (Hardcover) by Paul Davies (Author) amazon.com -------------- Since the Big Bang, it was certain the universe would turn out one of many unlikely ways. That would be the Big Bang you earlier suggested "was wrong"? You're wrong about this too. ----------------------- Just because it turned out this particular unlikely way, so what? You think you're special, and the universe was designed for you? Not me specifically, but life ... it does look as if the universe was designed for life. -------------------- Your argument is yet another irrational appeal to emotion. I'd suggest your rejections of well established scientific theories are emotionally based. The idea of an intelligent immensely powerful being can be scary for many people.Consider the lottery. Someone will win, but the odds of any one person winning are millions to one. Does that mean the universe was designed for that particular person to win because otherwise it would be too unlikely? Only a fool would argue that. But lotteries are designed for someone to win. A better example is a firing squad. Consider a man who repeatedly survives volleys from a firing squad. Each time he comes out untouched. Eventually most people would assume something is fixed.
