You're DOUBTING Microsoft's statements? How could that be? We all know that Microsoft speaks nothing but the truth. While pointers are an extremely powerful part of "C", I don't know that I'd consider them essential to writing a operating system (I do have some experience in this area having worked in an operating system development area). Pointers and a single equal sign on if comparisons cause the vast majority of problems in "C". I believe that JBUILDER will be a good, solid, add-in to Borland's set of products.
