Soldiers and police portray authority. Consequently, nobody likes them even when people try to cloud their role by saying they are "peace keepers" and "liberators". They live by the gun.

We could win a lot more (thousands of times) hearts with a fraction of the cost (a millionth?? jeez) all across N. Africa with peace corps funding.

Made me throw up when Bush gave that speech about the (plight of) Arab women we were helping. Spiritual rape that speech was.
