I could agree with you if you were making the case that teachers are not doing their jobs, but I do not buy your argument that (if it is your argument) the remedy to improve our education system is to cut the number of teachers.

I think Obama has an argument that it is urgent to make our education system more competitive in order for us to compete against the rest of the world.

Cutting the number of teachers would not help as far as Obama is concerned.

Obama's remedy may be wrong, but at least it is consistent whereas the basis for your POV in my opinion does not come together in either an overall or an economic sense.
