I still have dollar bills which bear the inscriptions "SILVER CERTIFICATE" and "One Dollar in Silver Payable to the Bearer on Demand", signed by Robert B. Anderson, Secretary of the Treasury, series 1957.

Each bill is still worth one dollar, no different from the current bill, and not even enough to buy a cup of coffee. The only good thing is when you are a contestant on "Who wants to be a Millionaire", you will know who the Secretary of the Treasury under President Eisenhower.
