Wharf, the population of the whole country continues to grow....not just in CA. But not the school age segment of the population. Population growth numbers are skewed by the fact that people are living longer, and this is an incredibly important demographic fact for Congress to fully understand if it hopes to guide the country forward.

If things remain constant, in 30 years as the boomers start dying off en masse, the population of the US will likely decline.

Should we be commiting massive resources to building schools and even some of the proposed infrastructure in the face of this demographic?
