What else do I have to go by?

I haven't given up hope on this administration. O is indeed a quick learner and flexible in his thinking.

Also the really quick fix for some of the current economic problems is so painful that I don't blame the administration for continuing to search for 'magical' ways to mitigate the pain.

As an investor, though, I'm growing increasingly worried that the efforts to forestall the day of reckoning will prolong what could be a robust recovery.

An example of a really quick fix would be to just wipe out all the stakeholders in the most insolvent of the money center banks, and even a few of the large regionals.

I agree with you that each industry should be dealt with individually and in a slow and analytical manner. Not by shoveling massive amounts of borrowed money out the door willy-nilly by claiming urgency.
