Yes Obama won.

After talking about fiscal responsibility, and "pay as you go"/"paygo", and "Every dollar that I've proposed, I've proposed an additional cut so that it matches." and saying that his program was "a net spending cut", and saying "We need to eliminate a whole host of programs that don't work."

Not by running on "we will add a trillion dollars of additional spending, much of which will be targeted at political constituencies that support the Democrats".

Also I don't seem to remember the Democrats saying "Bush won, we should line up behind him and support his programs"

Using the D-word: The world's advanced economies are "already in depression," at least according to IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn. The "worst cannot be ruled out," he said, adding that the IMF could further cut its global growth forecasts. Strauss-Kahn's remarks are markedly more pessimistic than IMF forecasts released as recently as Jan. 28.

International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn said the world's advanced economies -- the U.S., Western Europe and Japan -- are "already in depression".
