"Are the local residents in Montana friendly and trustworthy?" Yes, but, just because you move in next door doesn't mean you are automatically accepted. Trust is earned. It is not a right. "Or is most of the population belong to white power groups and Nazi low riders?" Where I live I have never seen any of the above.

most...belong to white power groups and Nazi..? I lived just across the border in N ID, which shares that perception amongst those who believe the MSM. Heard an anecdotal story while there that might be true. In Noxon, MT a group of five or six camo-wearing whackos used to meet for morning coffee. Allegedly, in the early '90's a producer from 60 Minutes(?) came through while on vacation. He/she made it a big deal. That area has rednecks, most decent people and damned good neighbors. The tiny minority that you're talking about are despised, and mostly run outta Dodge.
