Yes, but get an education first. I spent 6 years in the labors union. Almost vested and cleaned fish for 1/2 a year.

After I had my first four years of college education.

It is in the best interest of both society and the individual to get a good solid liberal arts education, so they have a good working knowledge of how the world works.

How many continents, different great oceans, populations of major coutnries like china and India (1.3 billion each), a basic understanding of supply and demand, and probability. What is the basic history of mankind from the first written words 700 BC to the present. The Dark Ages and the age of enlightnement.

The evolution of democracy, slavery and war. The difference between relativity and quantum physics. The difference between Darwinain evolution and Lamarkian evolution.

How to think using logic and facts.

Almost everyone can learn these things and it would improve their lives and the society as a whole if they did.
