>>I just thought it was an interesting counter view to the Obama worship that usually goes on here. I myself have no first hand knowledge of the events she describes as obviously you do as you are able to comment on them.<<

It is not worship vintner. It is respect. The same type of respect we give to lots of great thinkers like Mark Twain and Abe Lincoln.

Obama was very articulate tonight.

just thought it was an interesting counter view

Same here, V. And as I said when I posted it, it raised specific and valid points. Merely labeling the writer in a negative way is just an easy out. One doesn't "pose" as a reasoned thinker if what one writes it reasonable and this was. I didn't agree with her on everything, but when someone suggests that Pelosi is hurting the cause (and I agree with her on that), then answer that charge. Is it worth it? Does she damage him and the package with the centerleft and moderate right who supported O?

I also agree with Rubin on the tax problems, that "he drip, drip of further issues and complications will snarl him in a never-ending storyline that is disastrous for Democrats."
Doesn't matter that other people vet, O. is where the buck stops. It's HIS problem. Clean it out. Get it over with.

I totally DISagree with her about his apology on Daschle. I think Chinu is absolutely right that that was a terrific move. The comparison to Bush who could never admit to a mistake was intentional and stark and impressive.

Anyway, no problem here with reposting my post and an article.
