Love sushi, but the smell of cooked fish is a turn-off.

They must sell sashimi-grade fish at some fish markets there. I can buy sashimi-grade tuna and tilapia here in the supermarket. IMO, it's a sin to cook a fish.

Except for cioppino, that is. A way to eat cooked fish without the odor is to put it in a stew. Cioppino is a favorite of mine. Cooking fish in a tomato liquid with lots of herbs either kills or sufficiently covers up the fishy smell. And it's a good dish to prepare in quantity and then work on over the course of a week. The taste grows.
