This is really heavy stuff. I feel for the Dutch people. Of course Belgium is next door, and then France, and Luxembourg etc. What did our ancestors of WWII fight for----for freedom from the oppression of the Nazis and now we have an oppression that persecutes people for expressing opinions for writing a form of expression and art. "More than 200 years ago, Thomas Jefferson warned of the slow drift from freedom to tyranny when he observed that “there are rights which it is useless to surrender to the government and which governments have yet always been found to invade. These are the rights of thinking and publishing our thoughts by speaking or writing.” Will the United States follow in Europe’s footsteps?" The answer to that question is a resounding no-----but it takes good men and good women throughout the USA and in our neighboring Canada to stand together to protect the freedoms of North Americans.
