Having said this, I'm nibbling at the market and have been for a few weeks. Guessing that things will look much different in 6-9 months, with or without the government.

Been doing the same so far this year. Largely high yielding dividend stocks that don't look to cut dividends--energy mlps for instance.

Some have described the stimulus package as 10% job creation and 90% transfer payments. I don't know if these percentages are precise, but there is a huge imbalance and it is the flaw in the package.

That's a false dichotomy. Transfer payments during periods of unemployment, unless saved, create jobs.
