Like changes in FED rates, these things (stimulus packages) take time to filter through the economy. I believe much of the debate considers 12 months to 18 months is the area where we start to see the adjustments show up in the overall economic numbers. Most of the money forced into the system has only had about 3 months thus far. Way too early for it to show up in any substantial way. Combine this with the efforts most businesses are taking to reign in spending, reduce overhead and hunker down for potentially tougher times ahead. This leads us to the consumers, who are seeing pressure in almost every facet of their finances.

Political transitions and systemic structural overhauls needed in many areas of high finance are also putting additional pressure on the system.

Good thing I'm an optimist!

We'll see....
